THE TOWN WILL BE ACCEPTING PUBLIC INPUT ON THE MARIJUANA (MARIHUANA) REGULATION AND TAXATION ACT (MRTA) AT THEIR TOWN BOARD MEETINGS ON SEPTEMBER 8TH AND OCTOBER 13TH. YOU MUST BE A TOWN RESIDENT (VILLAGE OF HORSEHEADS AND ELMIRA HEIGHTS EXCLUDED) AND YOUR COMMENTS WILL BE LIMITED TO 2 MINUTES.

The Town of Horseheads seasonal PARKING BAN goes into effect on November 1 through through April 30. There is no parking allowed on any town road for the duration of the ban. For questions please contact the Code Enforcement Office at (607) 739-7605.

A $5.00 late fee will be added to dog licenses unpaid 10 days after the expiration date. There will also be an additional $5.00 for each month unpaid.
The Chemung County Compost Facility, located at Blostein Blvd. will open 04/21/2020 for Chemung County Residents
Hours of operation are: Tues. & Thurs. 9:00am - 5:00pm, Wed. & Fri. 9:00am - 3:00pm, Sat. 8:00am - 1:00pm.
